Now a lot of you may or may not have heard of the Drew League so let me give you a little background. In 1973 it was founded by Alvin Wills in South Central LA, for inner city kids to learn life lessons through basketball. Basically it gave them something to do besides get in trouble on the streets. At the time it consisted of 6 teams of local high school ballers both boys and girls. Since then it has grown into a 28 team invitation only league. You can find the best high school, college and pro players here stopping by to get a little action. Players you may have heard of that have graced the League with their presence Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Kevin Durant, James Harden, CP3 will play this year too. A pretty impressive list of NBA players to say the least.
ESPN’s Chris Palmer took a few rumors to twitter today in regard to DRose playing in the Drew League today:
Also adding Taj had something to do with it:
Now my own personal take on this is, Chris Palmer is the biggest troll on Twitter. He stalks Kevin Durant on a regular basis. He claims Kyrie Irving is the best PG in the league, all the while making a list 2 months later of top point guards and naming DRose as his #1. The guy is the best at starting arguments and throwing out off the wall rumors that hardly ever come true. What else is there to say except, the guy is a certified kook. I honestly don’t see this actually taking place. But, then again as much of a crazy season this past year has been for Bulls fans, I wouldn’t be surprised in the least if the Windy City Assassin, chose a LA Summer League game to test out his surgically repaired knee. A knee he has recently claimed is finally at 100%.
