Defensive Player of the Year Joakim Noah has had one hell of a season. Both health wise and stats wise. He has led his team to the 4th seed in the Eastern Conference, and currently battling the Wizards in the first round of the NBA Playoffs. TMZ recently broke a story claiming, Joakim Noah has sued his former shoe sponsor Le Coq Sportif.
It is well known his injury history towards the end of the 2012 season as well as the entire 2012-13 season. Mainly the issue was Jo’s feet. Other times it may have been an ankle or a hamstring injury of some sort. But, I would say a majority, if not all, of his 16 games he missed in 2013 was because of his Plantar Faciitis. He fought through a playoff series against Brooklyn last year in the first round as well as a 5 game series with the Miami Heat. He came out during the Nets series to talk about his injured feet,
“It really sucks. Plantar fasciitis sucks, it feels like you have needles underneath your foot while you’re playing. That’s what it feels like. You can imagine how hard it is when you need to run or you need to jump; all the things you have to do when playing basketball. I mean, you don’t want needles in your feet, right?”
