With the Bulls striking out on their “Plan A”, the Bulls immediately started to go into “Plan B” of adding depth with remaining cap room. This began by adding Spanish star and former Lakers and Grizzlies Forward, Pau Gasol. Gasol was one of the few bright spots for the LA Lakers this year.
The Bulls and Gasol finalized a 3 year $22 million deal earlier this week. According to K.C. Johnson, Pau turned down $11.5 million to stay in LA and $11 million to join Atlanta. Gasol has averaged 17.4 points and 9.7 rebounds for the Lakers last season. And in 13 Years with the Lakers and Grizzlies, Gasol averaged 19 points and 9 rebounds.
